Your three hosts, Robby, Pete, and Casey, rarely agree. That's what makes it fun. What we do share is a profound commitment to improving education. Tune in: ed... more

Is it time to get rid of math? The guys debate the usefulness of math requirements (along with other public education requirements) in our schools today and what it might mean to think differently.
Welcome back! The guys are back and just in time for a "year in review" session of the Ed's Not Dead podcast. During this episode, we discuss some of the articles listed below, and begin to touch upon the stories we think will be at the forefront of ... more

It seems that each decade brings with it a supposed existential challenge for public education. Teachers, administrators, politicians, parents, and even students thump their chests and wonder out loud whether the great American promise of a free and equitable public education for all is still possible or necessary. We hear that the times have changed; the kids have changed; the teachers have changed; the curriculum is too dense; testing is the problem; testing is the solution; and so on, and so ... more
Well, both, I guess! The theee guys are fun to listen to but provide thoughtful ed content with amazing guests. I’m not sure how they get the top names for interviews but the guest list is always very impressive.
Robby, Pete, and Casey do such a good job covering a variety of topics. The guests offer valuable insight as well. I would recommend this podcast to anyone looking to be inspired and informed!
I have had two of the three hosts as a teacher in the past (Peter Crable and Casey Siddons) and can attest to their dedication to their students. It’s great to see them create a show to make education policy both informative and entertaining. The third host, Dr. Dodd has grown on me with his colorful insights. Overall, great show with tremendous hosts. My only recommendation is that Mr. Siddons is quizzed about the Civil War.
As a parent in MCPS I have appreciated all of your insight and humor as you help us unpack current issues and trends. I especially appreciate your views as fellow parents and the empathy you employ as you highlight the diverse needs in our county such as food insecurity and special education needs. Go Vikes!
