Erased from the pages of time, these cultures discovered and charted the heavens, developed earth-centric sciences and unleashed advancements that parallel and, in many cases, surpass our own. • Love

Feb 4th Destiny: Michael J. Menard shoe is important for sure. Most important is to understand that there can be a reason for the suffering. I've had a lot of serious abuse in my childhood. It's given me the reason to heal by finding love and love's power. I became a physician because of it. I agree it can be very tragic growing up in neglect and abuse and it can be a gift by being the motivation to learn about love in all it's full on forms. • Rewriting History

In the Popol Vu episode the host defends priest Diego and thinks he may have only culturally committed genocide against the Maya by burning their writings. How dare you rewrite history and cover the truth that there was a genocide! So many Maya died and were tortured by this priest and you were surprised that he served time in prison and shouldn't have. I do not trust that this show actually reports historical facts.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Destiny: Mark Langenfeld, Wisdom from the Woods
Q: Can you talk a little about the importance of observing nature and what that does for healing?
Observing nature slows the mind, reveals subtle metaphors, and allows us to interpret lessons from plants, animals, and landscapes as guidance for daily living.
Destiny: Mark Langenfeld, Wisdom from the Woods
Q: Why is it important as a human being to connect?
Connecting with nature grounds us emotionally, helps us move from distraction to mindful presence, and reinforces our sense of belonging to something larger than ourselves.
Destiny: Mark Langenfeld, Wisdom from the Woods
Q: OK. And as somebody who is very much connected with nature, what does nature have to teach us?
Nature teaches us common sense observations about life and helps reduce our mental clutter; it reminds us to slow down, notice, and reconnect with our primal self.
Roy Remer: Zen Caregiving
Q: Has there been any input from AI in terms of therapy or caregiving practices?
Roy shares that AI has not been used clinically in their program but has shown potential for generating reflections and supportive content; he notes use in administrative tasks and mentions experiences with AI-generated reflections on impermanence and death.
Roy Remer: Zen Caregiving
Q: What are two or three simple practices a caregiver can start today?
Include pausing for three intentional breaths, feeling the feet on the ground, and grounding with Earth to reconnect to the body and the larger context, plus the reminder that impermanence is natural.
