Don't expect a free art education here... that's not the point. This grassroots show is full of grounded, level-headed discussion of art and illustration.
I was hoping for more. The podcasts weren't positive. Didn't inspire me to draw. Their Color 101 podcast was filled with people who didn't understand color and therefore didn't use color -- how can you teach something you don't get? Their life drawing podcast kept getting side-tracked but did have a little bit of knowledge between the cracks -- though I really wished I hadn't looked at a recommended website at work because it was not life drawing but bordered on blatant grossness and near pornog... more
Always good to listen to some musings on art and artfull illustration while working on some painting. It's good to hear people mulling over the eternal art questions. Why am I doing this? How the hell am I going to get anywhere? how do other people make a life out of art?
