Starting out as a writer with no clue of where to start or who to approach is really overwhelming and intimidating (and part of the reason one might put it off for 15 years!) I’m so grateful that I’ve discovered Amber’s podcast. It’s inspiring, thought-provoking, reassuring and she’s really engaging as a presenter. The 5 minute tasks are super; the fact they are short help combat that feeling of a overwhelm. A 5 minute task is completely manageable, whereas an hour-long exercise as a beginner wh... more
Hey Amber, just a little message to say how much I genuinely rate your podcast. Love the tips, your voice and your humour. Thank you x
I’ve had the pleasure of taking one of Amber’s classes and can’t recommend her approach to humanity and writing enough. This podcast is just what I need to keep my brain light and free, engaged, and not going too far down the rabbit hole.
Helpful and hilarious. I love listening to her and I’m always learning something.
The podcast title alone says it all. Why do I wait to write, when writing is what I need to do? I have no idea! But the tiniest nudge helps and this podcast is a very good nudge. Amber Petty is playful and thoughtful about writing. I use it for fiction but any kind of writing will get done, if you don’t wait.
Amber Petty is a joy to listen to. She’s so funny and so smart. This podcast is a must-listen for any aspiring writer. I LOVE IT!
Amber is so innovative in the ways she develops and implements ideas, inspiration and immediately useful resources for writers. This podcast is one of these! I love the short episodes with very focused suggestions, guidance and writing tips. This podcast is like having a mentor or coach talk to me while I am driving or exercising, which I love, and primes my writing brain for when I sit down to work. Amber understands writers. Highly recommend!
I absolutely love this new podcast. Amber’s passion for writing and coaching shine through each time. I have already picked up so many ideas from these. Pick up her newsletter too for even more support! Thank you Amber for your wonderful content!
To write, I need to return to myself and remain in myself. But most writing podcasts pull me out of myself into other people’s processes and ideas. There’s a time and place for those, but when I really want to write, that’s not what I need. Amber’s podcast is what I need!
Seriously, it’s so great and should be part of your routine! Give it a listen.
If you need a kick in the butt when it comes to productivity, this podcast is here to save you. The 5-minute writing exercises are life changing.
Also, I LOVE that the episodes are so short because honestly I do not have time for hours long podcasts in my life. I wish I did, but sadly, I do not.
Lastly, anyone else think Amber sounds like Jodi Benson aka Ariel?! 🥹
Amber is the master of thoughtful tips to get you writing. She shares relatable stories and actionable tasks that lead to better work habits. I’m especially a fan of her meditations, which are created for folks who may-or-may-not be into meditating but who are definitely into writing.
The endless amount of knowledge you share is so amazing to me. Please keep it going!
I’ve been following Amber’s newsletter for a while and this transforms it into an engaging tool for writers to utilize when stuck! Thanks for the quick episodes and weekly prompts Amber!
