就讀高職的時候，林湰基士官長聽了一位士官長介紹陸軍專科學校，那場分享在湰基心裡種下了從軍的種子。當時170公分才50公斤出頭的他，很擔心自己因為過瘦，只能服替代役或國民兵。對他而言，男生就是應該當兵受訓成為名符其實的軍人。所以後來能夠考上陸軍專科學校，讓他很開心，更因為覺得陸專戰鼓隊氣勢不凡，所以自願加入成為旗隊成為其中一員。 more
原本對運動沒有興趣的楊明晧中士，體測老是在及格邊緣，後來因緣際會下，跟著朋友去體驗了一次攀岩，從此愛上這項運動，因此體能也變好了，拉單槓的時候，單位弟兄都說看起來拉單桿好像比喝水一樣簡單！獨樂樂不如眾樂樂，明晧也帶著其他弟兄一起參加攀岩活動，甚至是比賽，不斷挑戰自己的極限，也進而提升單位士氣！ more
