You can pick yourself, you can pick your elf, but you can’t pick your friend’s elf. more
The thing I love about this show is that I can easily pick up episodes for media I've watched or haven't watched. It's pretty much Genre + TBD + Genre + Genre + Genre + Genre + Genre + Genre + Genre + Genre + Basic.
I dropped this podcast over a year ago for one reason. It’s a movie podcast, but they don’t tell you what movie they’re talking about. more
Come for the great chemistry between the hosts and lots of movie knowledge, stay for the sighs and birds on furniture. Love you guys!
Great show by two great people.
One of them is furiously annoying. The other is chummy and fun. Both have deep cuts to make on the detailed technical aspects of film production; on thematics and story... notsomuch. There's often long digressions into food, gear, anything but the film in question. These can be diverting and fun, sometimes dull. Somehow it all comes together though, and it's often the first thing listened to when a new batch of pod eps drop. Oddly compelling!
