イギリスの美術史学者であるTJクラークが行ったディープ・ルッキングの実験について紹介します。2006年に出版されたクラークの著書『The Sight of Death』では、一つの絵画作品を観察する実験について書かれています。ギャラリーや美術館に行き一つの作品を鑑賞する、このシンプルな行為がいかに政治的で抵抗でもあるか考えていきます。
芸術のなかでも、音楽における古典インドの美学は、高次元への扉として存在すると考えられてきました。なかでも、鑑賞する人の心や意識を色づけ、染めるものとして音楽があるという「ラッサ」理論はとても高度な鑑賞モデルとして実践されてきました。
1960年代に様々なラディカルアートの実験を行った松澤宥。芸術家として存在する作品を創作するのではなく、パフォーマンスや儀式などを行っていた松澤さん。目には見えない表現にどのように向かっていたのでしょうか。世界と宇宙を代表するアーティストからヒントが見えてきます。
