Je zou verwachten van een persoon die zolang in de journalistiek aanwezig is dat hij een controleur van de overheid zou zijn en beschermer van de bevolking tegen narratieven en propaganda van uit de overheid. Helaas heeft Bernard een verkeerde afslag genomen in zijn inzichten en in nu een woordvoerder van de overheid. Door deze misstap luister ik niet meer naar hem

mijn kritiek op de host tijdens de pandemie en de bijzonder voorspelbare oorlog in Ukraine zijn waren gerechtvaardigd maar horen compleet overschaduwd te worden door lof voor het jarenlang uiterst optimaal brengen van nieuws dankzij eloquent uitgedrukte en zo objectief en accuraat mogelijke verslaggeving en interviews op een schaal die nauwelijks geëvenaard wordt, zoals bijvoorbeeld van The Economist.
