  • Don't miss this thrill of a train!

“No, it was darker than that, whatever the feeling was. It was the feeling that made her want to key beautiful cars, or slash priceless art, or make happy people cry.”I’ve got a confession to make: this book is really clever, and Lisa Unger is a masterful writer who weaves together stories, emphasizes words, with the elegance of a seasoned, graceful dancer. I could feel in the prose how specifically precise the language and emotional feeling that permeated was. I’ll admit I stopped and started a... more

  • Warning: Do not buy. Formatting issues.

This e-book has formatting issues that cause all quotation marks to appear as a wonky set of characters. It is virtually unreadable. I bought and held too long before checking it out, so I missed the return window. I'll be sure to check books out sooner from now on. Never had this happen before, but googled the issue and found it happens with poor QC sometimes.

  • The text of the Kindle version is unreadable

The text of the Kindle version that I ordered is essentially unreadable due to the placement of many random characters instead of normal letters in the text. If not corrected and cost refunded, I likely will order no more Kindle books. I also ordered Hemingway’s book “Death in the afternoon” and it appears to be OK.

Disclaimer here: I would not normally ever, EVER pick up this book on my own. I'm only reading it because it's on my MA reading list.First up: UGH PUNCTUATION. I hate this no-quotation-marks style. Hated it when Cormac McCarthy used it, hate it now. I know it's a stylistic thing, but... well, I guess I'll just say it's not a style I like.Normal People is a story of abuse. It's the story of Marianne who goes from terrible relationship to terrible relationship and allows herself to be abused becau... more

  • Love this podcast

I started listening with my kids, but then started listening on my own. Having some extra time in the day to hear a fairy tale I may not have heard of is great. I also like that each guest is different.
