  • Nice show

I often tune into this podcast and enjoy the fact that the people in the show are trying to solve our problems from a more conservative and traditional lens without going back to a past no one wants back concerning real equality and so on.

  • Just real

Such a calm reasonable and thoughtful podcast. Great conversations and balanced points of view. It’s ok to agree to disagree and have a decent human chat about it. Also helpful and educational in regards to the more destructive ideologies and their effects on politics, culture and personal relationships. Good stuff!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Harvard Loses in the New College Rankings - Prof. Kevin Wallsten
Q: How do you see the role of the legislature or policy in shaping university outcomes?
Policy can help restore accountability and incentivize reforms by supporting programs that promote civic learning and by encouraging governance structures that value meritocracy and diverse viewpoints, while avoiding purely ideological approaches that stifle academic freedom.
Why Harvard Loses in the New College Rankings - Prof. Kevin Wallsten
Q: From your perspective, what is the purpose of education, and how should it guide college rankings?
Education should develop individuals as critical thinkers and responsible members of a free society, grounded in the American political tradition, while also preparing them for real-world employment. Rankings should reflect this balance by measuring personal development, curricular quality, and alignment with institutional goals, not just reputation or input metrics.
America Cut Off Its Christian Roots. Now It’s in Crisis. - Eric Metaxas
Q: How do you understand the role of faith in the founding of America?
Faith is central to the American project; liberty and virtue arise from a culture shaped by Christian ideas, and without that foundation, the nation drifts toward tyranny or secular utopianism.
George Soros, Birthright Citizenship, and the Lost Constitution - Randy Barnett
Q: What is originalism?
Originalism is the view that the meaning of the Constitution should remain unchanged until it is properly amended, ensuring that judges, legislators, and citizens apply the original meaning rather than modern reinterpretations.
"We Are Summoning the Demon." Is Elon Right About AI?
Q: What is the general concern about AI in society right now?
There is a broad tension between recognizing AI's potential to boost productivity and fear about job displacement, privacy, and the erosion of human connection, which requires thoughtful policy and ethical considerations.
