  • Painful to listen

Meandering on same topics but discussed better and sharper elsewhere. Don’t waste your time here.

  • Just real

Such a calm reasonable and thoughtful podcast. Great conversations and balanced points of view. It’s ok to agree to disagree and have a decent human chat about it. Also helpful and educational in regards to the more destructive ideologies and their effects on politics, culture and personal relationships. Good stuff!

  • Content: Phenomenal; Tech: Could Use Some Work

I love this podcast, which is why it is so frustrating that I can’t hear it. I listen to most of my podcasts at a medium volume on very high-quality headphones (Trekz AfterShokz). I can barely hear this podcast on the road at maximum volume. The quality of the sound (when I can hear it) is great, but I usually can’t hear it. This only occurs when I listen to this podcast; I have no problems with any others. I would love it if the volume could be augmented. Thanks so much. I am a new listener, bu... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Gad Saad: The Evolutionary Psychology Behind “Queers for Palestine”
Q: What practical advice do you have for parents worried about these ideas influencing their kids?
Read extensively and build a culture of lifelong learning; create conditions that encourage curiosity and critical thinking, so children can discern evidence-based conclusions from ideological narratives.
Gad Saad: The Evolutionary Psychology Behind “Queers for Palestine”
Q: How do you defend evolutionary psychology against accusations of just-so stories?
By using a nomological network of cumulative evidence that triangulates data across cultures, species, ages, and methodologies, which makes the evolutionary explanations verifiable and resistant to post-hoc storytelling.
Gad Saad: The Evolutionary Psychology Behind “Queers for Palestine”
Q: Is the neuro-parasitological framework an analogy or a real neurochemical process?
The framework can function as both a biological mechanism and a memetic explanation; the idea is that neurophysiological processes can be hijacked by memetic/ideological parasites, producing similar outcomes across cultures and times.
Gad Saad: The Evolutionary Psychology Behind “Queers for Palestine”
Q: What exactly is Suicidal Empathy, and where does it come from?
Suicidal Empathy is the misfiring of empathy in regulated zones, where people feel compelled to exhibit compassion to groups or ideas that threaten their own civilization, driven by evolutionary and neuro-parasitic mechanisms that hijack affective processing.
John Stossel: I Exposed Mainstream Media Fear-Mongering From the Inside
Q: What sparked your initial interest in journalism and consumer reporting?
Stossel explains that he didn't initially intend to be a journalist; stuttering and practical considerations led him to consumer reporting, where he could focus on government and consumer problems and gradually shift toward libertarian ideas as his work exposed how regulation and policy affected everyday people.
