Two old friends engage in weekly discussion of current political events from mostly liberal stance. Occasionally, a guest discussant replaces one of them. Great fun to listen, agree with, disagree with, be upset by some of the language, and ponder on. As an occasional guest, I may be biased but find the end result to be worth an investment of a couple hours each week of my time. Keep it up, guys.
Listen in on a conversation you might have late night with a buddy over a beer or two or three. I don't always agree, but fun to listen to.
Sam and Ivan (and the occasional guest) have a variety of world experience, and a long history together.
They reasonably discuss politics, tech, travel, etc and related current events.
Not news, not politically biased, just two guys talking, and kind of conversation you’d want to join.
Get a bloody editor. Unlistenable.
Politics, economics, tech, (occasional) profanity, and some of the funniest outbursts I’ve ever heard.
Key themes from listener reviews, highlighting what works and what could be improved about the show.

This show blends sharp political analysis with brisk pop-culture notes, delivered in a candid, bantering style by two long-running hosts. Episodes repeatedly cover U.S. politics, international affairs, media narratives, and technology, often weaving in personal stories and light entertainment detours. Notable strengths include a willingness to critique political figures and media framing with humor and blunt honesty, plus frequent guest returns that anchor geopolitical debates with pragmatic insights. The format leans into fast-paced, opinionated conversations, making it well-suited for listeners who enjoy skeptical takes on current events, tech trends, and policy trade-offs, all tinted with personality and humor.
