I may be biased because Lol and Budgie are somewhat heroes of mine. Drummers that have inspired me and that I have imitated more times than I can count. But the most important part is not how great these two musicians were. Instead, in this podcast, both gentleman candidly give us an insight inside what it is to have been on top of the (goth) world, touring the planet and being loved by millions, to landing here and now, older and without the bright lights blinding and fans screaming. Is it bad that this turned out to be a great trauma and addiction recovery podcast for me? The hosts’ recollections and discussions with fellow artists are sometimes very funny, sometimes unexpectedly moving, and usually relatable and insightful about development, relationships and creativity. (I’m only up to Aug 2022, but the interviews with Terri Nunn and Kevin Haskins are standout in this aspect so far.)
