Allison researches true crime's most overlooked cases. Mike hears them for the first time: raw reactions, real questions, no script. Plus the kind of married banter that makes an hour of dark content feel like hanging out with friends over coffee. New episodes every Sunday.

Love the banter. Also love Mike’s funny/vigilante ideas for justice and Allison’s storytelling. I literally laugh out loud listening to y’all doing dishes and have to tell my husband what yall said. Thank you for the show.
I cannot fathom how anyone can listen to this podcast! THE HOST CANT TALK! I'm not referring to her "accent" as people say she put "uh" after every word. I don't even notice that. It's the fact that every single sentence she has to "excuse me" or "sorry" and restart the sentence because she says something wrong. She is constantly asking Mike how to say certain words too. But seriously the Keddie Cabin Murders she said "excuse me" AT LEAST EVERY OTHER SENTENCE BECAUSE SHE CANT TALK.
It's pronounced "Ya vaughn"!!! Not E Von!!
I generally love the subject matter that you all put out in the podcast.
What makes me grind my teeth and makes me jump up and down is how you end each sentence with an emphasis.
The speech pattern of adding emphasis—often with a rising pitch—to the last word of a sentence is called upspeak, uptalk, or High Rising Terminal (HRT).
The blokes answer to everything is that everyone should carry a gun with them. It’s such an American attitude and utterly bizarre.
Thankfully they have added time stamps so can skip the “banter” at the start.
Interesting stories however once they get into them. She could lose him all together though.
I listen to more true crime podcasts than I like to admit to but this is one of my favourites. I love the chemistry between the hosts and the respectful way the crimes are covered. Highly recommend!

A conversational true crime show anchored by a husband-and-wife team who recounts cases with careful research and empathetic storytelling, paired with light, personalized banter at the start. Episodes commonly cover timeline reconstruction, investigative twists, courtroom outcomes, and the broader impact on victims and communities, all delivered in a warm, coffee-shop banter vibe that makes heavy topics feel approachable. The format tends to blend thorough case detail with relatable anecdotes about marriage, parenthood, and daily life, which some listeners find comforting while others note it can feel casual for darker material.
