I am a Master Mason from in Johnstown. I was ecstatic to know that Masters #5 approaches the process the same as we do. Although you have some different methods. Still the same. I have been listening to the podcast for awhile and I love it. Keep up the excellent work. I look forward to more content.

  • First Rate Podcast !!!

Excellent subject matter and very professional sounding. I am from Indiana and really enjoy being able to hear about New York Masonry. One if my favorite facets of the craft is how we can all be striving for the same end goal but every jurisdiction does it o’ so subtlety different. Keep up the good work brother. Cheers

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

WB Cesar Rubio — Masonic Muscle: The Origins Wars
Q: Why did you choose the term Origins War for the series, and what did you want listeners to take away from framing it as a battle of ideas?
The term captures how different theories compete for prominence; studying these ideas helps members understand the breadth of Freemasonry's history and why no single origin story fully captures what the craft has become.
Bro. Franklin Rings — Divesting Vices: A Stoics Approach
Q: So as a Stoic with a huge background, what comes to mind when considering vice, and what would your answer be to that question?
Vices are identified and confronted through disciplined self-awareness; the process of divesting is ongoing, using working tools as metaphors to shape behavior and maintain balance between extremes.
WB Edmond Freeman — My Year In The East
Q: What defines a successful year in the East for you?
Strategic planning and the ability to mobilize programs and collaborations, plus getting strong programs that resonate with the lodge and visitors, demonstrated by a well-executed year and the positive feedback from peers.
WB Ted Cross — What the Founders Meant by Happiness
Q: What do you need to know before signing up?
Very little; the course is designed for beginners and does not demand extensive background knowledge, offering self-paced modules and a certificate upon completion.
WB Ted Cross — What the Founders Meant by Happiness
Q: What age is this course appropriate for?
The course is suitable for a broad audience, including high school teachers and students, with minimal prior knowledge required; it is designed to be accessible and adaptable for various educational contexts.
