William Borden

UPDATE: Crack Tales podcast is suspended until further notice. I'm focusing on writing Crack Tales, the memoir. Huge thanks to the listeners and volunteers! Crack Tales is the life story of a man who spent 10 years addicted to crack cocaine. Family, friends, bosses and coworkers lived through it with him - and all survived to tell the story.

  • Tender, engaging, funny!

William is such a phenomenal storyteller. His social workiness shines through in how open-minded, unfazed, and generous he is with sharing of himself and being tender towards himself (and his younger self), as well as his fellow storytellers that he has on the show. The show sounds like a novel you can’t put down. I found myself becoming really invested in him/his sisters and others in a way that felt really connecting.

  • Bold honesty

William shares his story beautifully and openly. Get to know him and appreciate his journey into and then out of addiction and enjoy his many friends and family who bring color and context to the tale.

  • Like a book you can’t put down

William has such a beautiful way of telling stories, painting a picture, and introducing characters, you feel as if you’re reading a book that you can’t put down. His family, the street he grew up on, and hardships he endured. We know he gets clean, so there’s a happy outcome, but I’m terrified to hear the stories of his years of addiction. William is a brilliant ray of light; I’m so grateful he’s sharing his journey with all of us.
