  • Can't Explain

She's a stand-up comic; he has a real job. Together they're raising their kids on fast foods and church and I'm honestly there for it. I follow political, historical, musical, and social podcasts and find it hard to reconcile my appreciation for these couple friends. I love the other stuff — Kathleen Madigan, Hello Dysfunction, Alison Rosen — but I so appreciate this breath of normalcy every week.

Jenna Tries Answering Your Questions!
Q: One, can you give us info on the LDS undergarments? Definitely. Two, can you tell us about your and Hashtag Al's siblings, ages, occupations, fun stories from growing up?
The LDS garments are a sacred but open topic; she explains that they are a personal reminder of covenants with God, worn under clothing, with updates like sleeveless options to suit different climates and circumstances, and she points listeners to church resources for full details. Regarding siblings, she describes a large, geographically dispersed family of six, with various careers and talents, emphasizing the close bonds, shared stories, and the mixed dynamics of growing up in a big family.
We're Alive!
Q: What are your callings in church and what are your dream callings?
Currently, one host serves as ward clerk and the other teaches Relief Society, but they're open to serving wherever they are needed without specific aspirations.
We're Alive!
Q: Do you do a specific money amount for each of your children, or do you do the same amount of gifts?
The focus is on making the presents look equal in number, rather than strictly equal in value.
We're Alive!
Q: What do I do if I get a flat diet Coke from Chick-fil-A in the drive-through?
If it's completely flat, you should go back and ask for a replacement, not only for yourself but for future customers as well.
So Many #Fails
Q: What led you to want to talk about failures today?
We had a successful week and thought it would be fun to reflect on what we failed at.
