Reviews

4.6 out of 5 stars from 100 ratings
  • Very Nashville, but fun.

Disingenuous podcast that only talks about music from the corporate Nashville machine. If you want a broad, unbiased view of country music that talks about the indie scene as well, this isn’t for you. Says it promotes diversity but doesn’t talk about the gross misogyny, racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia that controls this industry because they’re a part of it.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Let's Go Girls! Shania Twain & Ella Langley Own the ACM Awards
Q: What made you say yes to hosting the ACM Awards?
Shania Twain emphasizes the honor of hosting and her goal to support artists who are likely nervous or excited, bringing encouragement and energy to the show.
Catching Up with Kacey Musgraves in the Middle of Nowhere
Q: What was the approach behind the album Middle of Nowhere?
The approach was to channel personal arcs and a sense of being in transition, blending traditional country with Tex-Mex, Zydeco, and other cross-border influences to create a genre-fluid sound while staying true to storytelling and emotion.
Cody Johnson Brings New Music to Stagecoach & Talks New Album, ACM Nominations, & More
Q: What will you be focusing on at Stagecoach 2026 and what stories do you have from past appearances?
Cody highlights headlining energy, fan engagement, and the rain-filled ACM shoot as a key memory, while also teasing new material and on-site coverage with Prime Video.
Luke Combs Thanks His Fans
Q: What's the biggest lesson you've learned about singles versus overall album flow in this era of streaming?
The singles that become hits aren't always the ones you expect; the fans ultimately decide which songs become the standout tracks, which is why I focus on the album's cohesion and the long-term listening experience.
Luke Combs Thanks His Fans
Q: How did you decide to include outside cuts or songs you didn't write on this album, and how did that feel?
I felt it was odd to cut songs I didn't write for the first time, but the right collaboration can still fit the project; the process was about fitting songs into the album's overarching theme rather than sticking strictly to authoring every track.
