Andrew rejects your premise that this is "like an SNL movie", Whitney talks about her appreciation of celebrities who can lean into the bit, and both of them discuss why Will Ferrell can play the character of the cokehead CEO of Funny of Die, but Zac... more
Why do we mention NPR, Ilana Glazer, and drag queens on this episode? You'll have to listen! Topics covered also include: why Whitney decided to grow food over this summer, what the most sustainable and cost-effective source of meat would be in the a... more

Is it possible that the architectural layout of The Continental is an intentional metaphor for the plot of this film? Maybe! Our very special guest and fellow Keanu Reeves Historian Angelica Jade Bastién joins us to discuss the importance of editing,... more
I’ve adored Keanu since the 80s. I fell off tracking his career years ago but recently found the 50mph podcast about Speed. My old Keanu love was unleashed. I found this podcast that chronicles every Keanu movie. I've only listened to episodes for movies I've watched. The earlier episodes with the original 3 hosts were great. Once one of guys disappeared it gets rough. Whitney rambles on and on about things other than the movie, most of which is annoying and not insightful. Also, i was thrilled ... more
I love this pod. I stepped into it not even being what you would define as a “huge” Keanu Reeves fan. I have only grown more appreciative of this great actor. Each episode has just the right mixture of analysis and fun. Who doesn’t love Charles Nolan and Pop Quiz A**hole? The void sounds like a wonderful place to hang out. Seriously, check this pod out. A great time and time saver. You love to hear it!
I’ve been a huge Keanu Reeves fan since The Matrix but for some dumb reason *the algorithm* let me down and I only recently discovered this podcast. I don’t know how I can constantly get influenced to buy the dumbest crap on the internet but I’m like five years late to finding this, but I’m glad I finally did. Maybe I’ll catch up before John Wick 4 comes out and I can listen to a live show. If you love Keanu, you need this podcast in your life.
A must listen to podcast for any Keanu fan. The hosts have a great sense of humor and insight and a refreshing ability to be critical when necessary. It’s a fun way to listen to fresh perspectives on some old favorites or even commiserate on some ‘how on earth did this get made’ gems.
Great and enjoyable podcast that highlights the KCU (Keanu cinematic universe, naturally.) I love all the point of views and how they go into detail.
If you like beautiful books then this illustrated edition of a Terry Pratchett classic should really catch your eye!I have loved this book since I first read it, a long time ago. Like all Discworld novels, it manages to both turn the world upside down, while also making sense of it, and all the while allowing you to laugh. Gaurds, Guards first introduced us to Vimes, Lady Ramkin, Carrot, Nobby, Colon, et al! Not to mention an indept exploration of the Patrician and his mind! The plot is hilario... more
This isn't a review of the novel. The story remains as excellent as it ever. Alas, this special edition is just not worth the high RRP. It's a standard hardback sized volume with standard paper with a few illustrations every so often. I was hoping for something special but it fails to deliver. Compare this to the excellent Illustrated Wee Free Men that was published several years ago.I'm happy to buy special editions but this just feels like fan exploitation, especially considering the RRP is £2... more
Guards! Guards! - The Paul Kidby illustrated edition. Great illustrations to a great Discworld story. BUT: Did the dragon on the front board of the book burn off the dust-wrapper - or was there never meant to be one (a dust-wrapper)? Even at the discounted Amazon price, I would have expected a DW (got bored typing dust-wrapper...). Other than the lack of a DW, I would highly recommend this edition & say it is a thoroughly worthwhile addition to Sir Terry's wonderful series of stories. If t... more
Currently listening to the Dracula episode and so far I like it but why is the female host yelling? The volume of her voice is ruining the episode for me. She is giving great information but we can hear you girl.
I just discovered this podcast after listening to most everything else out there regarding Keanu. I’ve been in love with him since I was 13 after watching Speed in 1994. He’s the only celebrity crush I’ve ever had and it has lasted 26 years so far. There is just something about him that is so captivating and I could never shake it. I too have actually seen every movie he’s ever done and while I don’t like them all I always appreciate his performances. It’s very interesting to hear other peoples ... more
Keanu has been my boy since forever, so I can’t believe how many of his films I hadn’t seen (which may have been for the best)! Loved doing his career retrospective alongside this awesome podcast. Andrew, Whitney, Evan, Charles from the Void and all the guest hosts have kept me fully entertained - especially now that I know we share a love of not only Keanu, but also Werthers Originals. Thanks all!!
Absolutely delightful journey through the enormous and varied career of Keanu Reeves. Listen from the beginning. For some it will be a trip down memory lane... for others it will be an intro to overlooked winners like Man of Tai Chi, along with brutally honest and usually hilarious critiques of the losers, of which there are a handful (Knock Knock is a particularly good episode). And there’s trivia! Cool Breeze pod: it's a good time.
So 2020 has been a bit of a nightmare but I found a glimmer of hope with this podcast. 90 minutes of fun and mayhem and a lot of Keanu means there will always be a smile on your face while listening.
I cannot tell you how badly this book is presented. The story is a great read and the characters are believable. But when your reading the text and it's full of typos, incorrect words (there are a lot of Spanish words which are either completely misspelled or broken up in to two words, rendering the book very poor to read) there are also random gaps on most of the kindle pages and huge variations in the font, for example on every couple of pages there's a huge word totally out of place. Do not b... more
To be honest, I avoided this podcast like the plague due to an overwhelming gushing by the media to make Keanu some sort of personal savior. I resisted all of the shameless plugs that popped up on my twitter feed and Facebook, meeting them with a fierce passive aggressive scrolling.
Eventually and separately, I stumbled upon the fact that Keanu starred in a Paula Abdul music video in 1991 (Rush, Rush). Feeling shocked at this discovery and being called out on my ignorance, I was immediately in... more
