AI Ready with Anshula Singh
Q: What advice do you have for students staying AI-ready without getting overwhelmed?
Be patient with yourself, start with a 10-15 minute daily nutrition of news, integrate AI into your existing workflows instead of overhauling yourself, and focus on applying AI to your unique strengths and domain knowledge to stay productive and competitive.
AI Ready with Anshula Singh
Q: What happened after the pitch with VCs or the project itself?
The team intended to pursue conversations with VCs, but a CMS regulation change created a business-shifting context that ultimately killed Authscript's premise, illustrating the importance of being lean and ready to pivot away from a startup when the market conditions change.
AI Ready with Anshula Singh
Q: Did you use AI to develop the pitch or for market research?
AI was used for data gathering and market research with deliberate emphasis on customer discovery and expert input rather than drafting the pitch; the team prioritized human-led validation over automated pitching.
AI Ready with Anshula Singh
Q: What exactly does Authscript do in the healthcare setup?
Authscript automates prior authorization form workflows between providers and payers, reducing manual burden on healthcare staff and helping patients get procedures approved more efficiently.
AI Ready with Anshula Singh
Q: Tell us a little bit about how that project came to be and how you got involved in the pitch.
I joined a well-known Software Entrepreneurship course, pitched in a 60-70 person class, and formed a cross-disciplinary team including co-founders with complementary skills. We focused on an AI-enabled solution for healthcare administrative tasks and iterated over 10 weeks with input from mentors and peers.
