I really liked this podcast at first, but they “straw-man” arguments they don’t agree with, which degrades their credibility exponentially.
The constant tone of being smarter than “those conspiracy theorists” while actually loving and being nostalgic for the conspiracy psyop. Add a dash of trite rationalization “everyone is bad and at fault” nihilism with a side of appeal to authority and all of this adds up to just reinforcing the ruling class status quo while fanboying with other fanboys of the same type about some of their favorite spooky things as an exercise in self gratification. A deep-dive show focused on paranormal lore, conspiracy culture, and fringe history, featuring long-form conversations with researchers, authors, and filmmakers. Episodes weave together Bigfoot legends, UFO history, documentary making, and the politics of how fringe narratives are manufactured and shared. Noteworthy is the mix of rigorous inquiry and speculative storytelling, plus strong ties to regional paranormal communities and events, which helps contextualize mysteries within local histories and media ecosystems. The format often blends detailed analysis with personal anecdotes, making it a compelling listen for listeners who enjoy open-minded yet critical exploration of exotic topics and the stories behind them.
