Il lessico è sorprendentemente elementare, più adatto a una quinta elementare che a un pubblico adulto curioso o informato. I concetti vengono semplificati fino a perdere ogni sfumatura, con il risultato che anche temi potenzialmente interessanti diventano piatti e ripetitivi.
Gli ospiti, poi, raramente sembrano preparati sugli argomenti di cui parlano. Le risposte sono spesso vaghe, piene di esitazioni e di interminabili “ehhhhh” che riempiono il silenzio ma non aggiungono contenuto.
