  • Love the honesty

It’s in the name: confessions. Jess and Cindy are straight-up and so are their hosts about really thorny issues like race and privilege as well as the hidden side of non-profits and fundraising. They know that shining light on what’s hidden helps us all. Definitely worth a listen—even if non-profits aren’t your niche.

  • You get it OMG

Finally business advice that gets where I’m coming from! Working with nonprofits IS different. And while I’d apply many other business tactics to my work, it’s good to hear from successful entrepreneurs who get it. LOVE!

  • My top listen!

I feel like I just blinked and suddenly I’ve devoured more of this podcast than anything else in my library. I’m just starting to take on freelance consulting clients outside of my full-time ED role. I’m grateful that every episode addresses not only helpful tips, but also frank discussions of pitfalls to avoid in building your consulting biz.

  • I never miss an episode!

This podcast is smart, strategic, irreverent and generous. The cup runneth over with 'gotta write this down' advice, catchy Jessism's 'is the juice worth the squeeze' and Cindy's fidelity to financial process. I love Thursdays a little bit more now knowing I'll get a Confession's drop. Brava and don't stop. Please!
