Comedy Rewind hangs nicely within any good deep dive rotation (pairing nicely with the likes of Film Joy’s ‘Movies with Mickey’ or the Ringer’s ‘Rewatchables’) and lends enough to its podcast format to be distinct from its counterparts. Seriously JP and his rotating guest hosts has got me feeling like a kid again while confirming the 90s may just be the best decade of all time when it comes to comedy.
Jono and his assortment of guests have come together to create a fantastic podcast that manages to bring back so many memories from my childhood. Every episode stands on its own and are all worth a listen. Bring on the 00s reviews next!
I have enjoyed the nostalgia of listening to this podcast, the hosts are fun and the content interesting. Highly recommended, enjoy.
Growing up watching 90’s comedies has shaped a lot of mannerisms I have today, whether it be stupid quotes, dance moves or signature poses for photos. I don’t know whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, what I do know though is that this podcast delivers another level of respect for these masterpieces of comedy in film. I think these comedies hold a dear piece of everyone’s heart and now we can go back and appreciate them even more knowing they still hold up today more
