今回の課題本は、世阿弥『風姿花伝』。
冒頭は、スラムダンクを知らない中学生とのジェネレーションギャップから、電子書籍の贈り方、読書アプリ、そして「人は本をどう読んでいるのか」という話へ。みきは、文章を一語ずつ追うというより、ページ全体のなかで“光って見える言葉”を拾うように読む感覚を語ります。一方ののぞみは、その読み方に驚きながら、『風姿花伝』という本そのものが、順番に論理を追うよりも、「花」「年齢」「稽古」「役者のあり方」といった言葉を何度も行き来しながら読む本なのかもしれないと考えていきま... more
#3では、自由の話がさらに手触りのあるところまで降りてきます。会社員であることをどう引き受けるか、自分の意志で何かを動かす感覚はどこで手に入るのか、蓄財や自己最適化は本当に自由と呼べるのか。みきにとっての演劇の話ものぞみにとっての怒りの話も、どちらも「外側の仕組みに回収されないものを持てるか」という問いに触れているように聞こえます。最後にはタイトルそのものの含意まで立ち返りながら、『自由からの逃走』という本の射程を、それぞれの実感のほうへ引き戻して終わります。
#2では、本の中の議論がそのまま今の生活に流れ込んできます。AIに自分らしさを学習させることへの違和感、ライフハックへの醒めた目線、投資や蓄財をめぐる身振り、政治的な対立に人が引きつけられてしまう感覚。フロムの言葉を借りながら話しているはずなのに、だんだん見えてくるのは、いま自分たちがどういう仕方で安定しようとしているのか、ということでした。本を読むというより、本を通して現代の癖を撫でていくような回です。
『自由からの逃走』を読み始めて、まず出てきたのは、人は自由を求めるというより、むしろ自由を持て余してしまうのではないか、という話でした。のぞみはこの本に初めて触れたときの驚きをたどり、みきは、消極的自由のほうへ流れてしまう感覚はむしろよくわかると言います。同じ本を前にしながら、片方は「そういう人がいること」に惹かれ、もう片方は「それが自分の中にもあること」から読み始めている。そのずれが、この回の輪郭になっています。

みきさんの「レヴィ＝ストロースのように考え、ものが見られるようになりたい」という感慨にとても共感し、読み手を限定しないLSの文章の魅力をあらためて認識しました。個人的にはどの文章も思い入れがあり、言及された論考には補足説明したくなり、逆に、配信で触れられなかった後半部分な、どんな感想、ツッコミが聞けたのか気になり、最後までたいへん楽しく聞かせていただきました。
この配信を機にLSの新しい読者が生まれるなら、これ以上の喜びはありません。『野生の思考』の回を楽しみに待ちます。
