  • Rob ruins the show

The basketball Eeyore impersonation that that guy does every time he’s on is truly insufferable. Just negativity across the board.

  • Great pod for a local start-up

Lucas is phenomenal and literally one of the best basketball minds you’ll hear from, up there w guys like Duncan, Partnow, Bontemps, Pelton, etc. Shap, Justin, Cole are all great too. Rob is absolutely horrible, fast forward all his air time and you’ll be set. I would honestly pay money for this pod if Rob was replaced by Justin full-time.

Update: Rob has grown on me. I enjoy all of the guests with a strong exception of Jag, who unfortunately just has the most obvious analysis that any casual f... more

  • Essential listening for Clips Nation

Love listening to these guys! Insightful analysis, witty repartee, and genuine good vibes, even if the mood turns dour. Truly the finger on the pulse (eh, Dr. Shap?) of Clips Nation. Keep up the great work! Much love from Minneapolis!

2025 Around the Beat Part 2, w/ Justin Russo and Tomer Azarly
Q: Who do you think will be the X-Factor for the Clippers this season?
Tomer Azarly highlights John Collins as the X-Factor due to his potential contributions and versatility, despite coming off the bench.
2025 Around the Beat Part 2, w/ Justin Russo and Tomer Azarly
Q: How do you feel about the move of Derrick Jones Jr. as a starter compared to John Collins being in the lineup?
Derrick Jones Jr. is valued for his defense and ability to not need the ball to be effective, which complements the scoring abilities of the other starters. John Collins may not fit as well in that role right now.
Listener Mailbag Ahead of an Exciting Clippers Season
Q: Would you rather have let PG walk and get other pieces like we did or have done the Warriors sign and trade, the Kaminga rumored one from last summer?
The current situation is a good outcome, but there remains the possibility of regretting not getting Kaminga if he breaks out in the future.
Listener Mailbag Ahead of an Exciting Clippers Season
Q: Is there truly a pathway for the Clippers to use cap space to get a star in a few years?
Yes, the pathways through which the Clippers can acquire star players are plentiful, including the potential for players to break out or choose their destination via trade.
John Collins is ACTUALLY a Clipper!
Q: How do you feel about actually talking about John Collins being on this team?
It's a totally decent move. I don't think it changes the entire complexion of the team, but it balances the roster nicely.
