Experts shape our world. Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. In every big story, you’ll find one; you’ll find a researcher, scientist, engineer, planner, policy wonk, data nerd, bureaucrat, regulator, intellectual, or pseudo-intellectual. Their ideas are often opaque, unrecognized, and difficult to understand. Some of them like it that way. On Cited, we reveal their hidden stories.

One of the podcasts I value most. Nearly every episode is exactly on a topic sorely needed but missing or avoided by most of those attempting to understand and discuss what is happening in our politics, our universities, our lives. Rigorously researched and artfully written, Darts and Letters/Cited is essential to me: one good source of meaning and even help against overwhelming circumstance.

Just discovered this podcast and it’s great. The producers do an excellent job of making academic research accessible to a wider audience without dumbing it down.
There is so much I appreciate about this podcast, but… I’m struggling with the background music.
So much so, that I’m not sure how much longer I can stay. It’s so pervasive that it distracts from the host and the stories, which so far have been fantastic. Very informative and interesting.
So glad this show is back! I really missed it in my feed. Humanizing, behind-the-scenes looks about science/history/academics.
Gordon and the team always surprise me with how great the content is. It is intriguing, captivating and alway always interesting. Highly recommend.
