  • Always Worth Listening When Rev. Pileggi Preaches

For the past 10+ years, I’ve listened to every sermon Rev. Pileggi has preached. I’ve also made 10 trips to Jerusalem and make sure I schedule Sunday service at Christ Church. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is John Arnold replacing Aaron. This change had been a huge disappointment.

  • Solid biblical teaching …

with room for discussion and wondering - always comes back to “How does scripture handle that?” or “What does God say about that?”

  • Encouraging. Biblical. Sound.

I have enjoyed listening to Christ Church Jerusalem for the past few years. I am thankful to have found fellow Christians walking in the The Way. Nothing watered down. True to scripture and sound interpretation. Thank you Lord for these brothers and sisters.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

ZECHARIAH, MARY, ANNA AND SIMEON | Luke 1-2 with David Pileggi
Q: Do you think that other gospel writers had a similar view of the faithful of Israel having prophetic roles, or is this something unique to Luke in your reading?
The other gospel writers certainly not. For example, Joseph is guided by dreams, while John and Mark have a lesser emphasis on prophecy. Luke uniquely presents a connection between mainstream Jewish beliefs and the presence of prophecy with Jesus' followers.
YOU STAND | Isaiah 61:10 - 63:9 with Phil Morrow
Q: What, if anything, consoles you when thinking about the future?
The speaker encourages listeners to reflect on their sources of comfort, whether they find hope in future resolutions or prefer immediate testimonies of hope.
NATHAN AND GAD | 1 Samuel 22-24, 2 Samuel 7-12 with John Arnold
Q: If God knows everything, why would God tell David specifically to go down a path that would lead to the destruction of some of the few righteous priests in Israel?
This reflects the complexity of divine guidance and the consequences of leadership decisions within the context of God's overarching plan.
NATHAN AND GAD | 1 Samuel 22-24, 2 Samuel 7-12 with John Arnold
Q: What would have happened if David had never repented?
It raises the question of whether the punishment of 70,000 men would have occurred if David had not repented and whether God would have acted differently.
NATHAN AND GAD | 1 Samuel 22-24, 2 Samuel 7-12 with John Arnold
Q: Why was David punished only after he repented?
David's punishment came only after his repentance, highlighting the principle that God chastises those He loves more severely than those who refuse to follow Him.
