Q: Is there any advice that you would give or guidance that you would recommend for a new person starting out in their recovery?
Get a sponsor, start working the steps. I feel better when I go to meetings because it reminds me I'm not alone.
CYOC_BBSTUDY_Step 9_Into Action_Wendy H_August 13 2025
Q: If you've ever done, today my sponsor and I are kind of talking about making amends to yourself. And how, and if you've done that, how you went about that?
I did when I got to step eight, put myself on the list and I did do amends when I got to step nine.
CYOC_BBSTUDY_Step 8_Into Action_Abby D_August 6 2025
Q: Do you ever write your amends out and actually read what you've written?
Yes, when I was doing my formal amends through the steps, I wrote them all out and practiced them. It was very specific, including what I did wrong and what I'm trying to do in the future.
CYOC_BBSTUDY_More About Alcholism Step One_Kim G_June 18 2025
Q: At what stage do you think most sponsors should put the food down?
They can't exit step one. The book tells me I can't take you through the steps unless you're abstinent.
CYOC_BBSTUDY_More About Alcholism Step One_Kim G_June 18 2025
Q: With your experience, like how long do you work with a sponsee until they put the food down?
You need to get into meditation and ask if you can be useful; if you feel you can be useful, you can review some of the material.
