  • Simply One of the Best Podcasts Out There on Tech/Dev

I don’t know how these guys are doing it but they have created very engaging content and it’s a serial part of my commute and M-F life listening to the dearth of info/topics they cover that I think might even be of interest to non-developers/programmers. Thanks.

Master feed pulls in all of this network's coding shows. I love the candor of the hosts and guests, and the overall tilt toward JS based content. I especially like JS Party and the main Changelog show but they all have good stuff.

From Tailnet to platform (Changelog Interviews #679)
Q: How does TSIDP relate to traditional identity providers and MCP?
TSIDP acts as a locally hosted private OAuth/OIDC endpoint that augments existing external IDPs, enabling dynamic client registration and tighter integration with MCP, while keeping identity management private within the Tailnet.
From Tailnet to platform (Changelog Interviews #679)
Q: What is the core value proposition of Tailscale's edge strategy?
The core value is building a private, identity-driven mesh network (Tailnet) that enables secure, seamless connectivity and access control across devices, teams, and applications, extending this edge concept to platforms and gateways like Aperture.
Opus 4.5 changed everything (Changelog Interviews #678)
Q: How do you see the role of developers evolving in this AI-first world?
Developers will still be essential, but their roles will expand; many will become builders, orchestrators, and evaluators of AI-enabled workflows, while some traditional coding tasks may be automated or shifted toward higher-level design and governance.
Opus 4.5 changed everything (Changelog Interviews #678)
Q: What sparked the idea that Opus 4.5 would change everything?
The guest explains the combination of a surge in model capabilities, higher usage allowances during the holiday period, and the demonstrations of real, rapid production-ready tooling that made it clear the landscape had shifted.
Han shot first (Changelog & Friends #128)
Q: What do you think about the rise of Astral and UV in the Python community?
There's excitement about their growth and the implications for Python packaging, but also concern about the dependency on a single company.
