見額法師此課程是見額法師關於禪修與止觀法門的一系列指導，旨在引領學生降伏狂心、徹見本具的清淨佛性。 修行首重「止觀」雙修。修止時，秉持「身放鬆、息自然、心專注」的原則，藉由數息或觀息收攝心念。面對起心動念，應採取「不理它」的態度，知而不隨，任妄想生滅，依然保持用功的醒覺力。 修觀時，可藉由全身掃描與循身觀，深察色身乃四大假合，藉此破除我執，契入無常與空性的智慧；也可輔以慈觀對治瞋恨。 禪修法門皆為對治凡夫向外攀緣的習氣，只要看破念頭與色身的虛妄，保持「念起即覺」的覺照，便能放下萬緣，回歸不生不滅的菩提自性。 -- Hosting provided by SoundOn

見額法師指出，凡夫心躁動不安，修止觀時常有妄念夾雜。修數息或隨息等「止法門」時，若生起念頭，最好的應對方法是「不理它」，讓念頭隨來隨去，迅速收攝心念回到法門上。修「觀法門」結束後，也應讓心歇止；若有念頭再起，同樣堅守不理它的原則，以免妄上加妄。不理它並非放縱念頭，而是保持最高的覺知，知而不隨、知而不著。如同等待火車通過平交道，目光不隨火車來去，心只需保持清醒專注，不隨妄念起伏。妄想如同彈皮球或哭鬧的小孩，越理會越嚴重，只要任其生滅、不加分析執著，妄想自然停息。我們應認知念頭虛妄不實，生起時不自責... more
「循身觀」是將色身依地（堅硬）、水（濕潤）、火（溫度）、風（動轉）四大類進行掃描與歸類。例如血液流動、毛髮生長、呼吸、吞嚥及大腦放電皆屬風大。每一大中又具足其他三大的特性，例如骨頭雖屬地大，卻也有水分、溫度與動相。透過從頭到腳的細微觀察，會發現四大皆無自性，找不到固定不變的實體，此即「了不可得」。若時間有限，可僅專注思惟身體的某一部分，思惟後保持正念、無念；若再起妄想，可轉換觀照部位或改為觀息，藉由實修將空性義理真正入心。

修行須收攝眼耳鼻舌身五根，不再向外攀緣，以免如貪玩的猴子被膠漆黏住而受苦。藉由修習「循身觀」（身念處），將身體作為所緣境，能幫助心歸於寂靜並產生智慧。具體作法是從頭到腳掃描色身，將其細分為地大（骨、肉、毛髮）、水大（血液、汗液）、火大（體溫、熱量）、風大（呼吸、動轉）四界。如同屠夫將牛分作四等分觀察，看破色身僅是四大假合的虛妄相，並無真實自我。內四大與外在山河大地的四大互相循環、無二無別，死後亦將分散回歸自然。透過重慮緣真的觀照，了知四大皆無自性，便能放下對色身的執著，回歸清淨自在的法身。
