A wonderful podcast. Love listening to the hiking, skiing, bike riding and those fabulous mountains with the Holy Mass. From Adelaide Australia keep up the work of the Lord. God Bless.
I started listening to this podcast in 2014, loved it. Helped me through converting to Catholicism. What is happening recently is sad. The Bitcoin episode was plainly irresponsible. Rank punditry absent correction from the Church’s social teaching.
Longtime listener, but deeply concerned about the podcast’s direction. The bitcoin episode had no relation to Catholic Social Teaching. Instead, it was the 21st Century version of a late-night “Buy Gold Now!” infomercial, presented entirely uncritically. If the podcast is moving in the direction of promoting quack economics, conspiracy theory, and paranoid tinfoil hat-ism, then I will just go listen to something else.
At it’s core Bitcoin is a Ponzi scam. It has no value. I is only worth what they can convice the next person pay.
Our Lord worked with his hands making real things for a living. He kicked the money changers out of temple. Speculation is not honest work.
