Cargo Cult is a podcast hosted by Naomi Karavani and Michele Greenstein that pulls back the curtain on these often forgotten forces shaping our digital world.
A cargo cult is what happens when people copy the visible parts of something they think is successful — without understanding the deeper systems that actually make it work.

I need to know more about James Aioli, i’ll listen until that day comes, and after that day comes, and if it doesn’t so be it, these two know what’s up! Keep killin it cargo cult 🫡
my two favorite people to listen to every week
What’s crazy is that while the conversations are kind of casual/ fun, and the hosts joke around a lot, the level of deep research and journalism snuck into the show is seriously unparalleled. Blows many larger left wing podcasts and news programs out of the water. My one small note would be that Michelle sometimes talked too fast and Naomi sometimes talks too slow. They should merge with AI to create the ideal podcast host.
So well researched and produced! The SpaceX episode was my fav, you can clearly see how passionate they are about these topics but are also patient with us who maybe aren’t as familiar. Also petition to have a true crime bonus ep where they investigate the gay who fell out the window.
