I absolutely loved this guys stuff for about 5 years- But the stories are very….ai coded and repetitive? Not to mention I miss him actually voicing it all, the ai version of his voice is scarily similar but it’s pretty monotonous and pronounces stuff weird. But there are still a few good gems in there, like the mimic stories! Those might be fake but they’re very entertaining lol
Love the stories, just wish the Ads were at the same or less volume then the rest of the show. It will go from a nice quiet story, to a lady screaming in your ear about a sale.
The voice sounds like AI… the way things like place names are pronounced differently from sentence to sentence is distracting.
The real horror story here is how many acres of woods have been destroyed by the data centers that are generating these fake stories. How much fresh water has been poisoned to create this slop whose only purpose is to make one uncreate lazy thief a bucket of advertising revenue.
I love the narration, and the type of stories. I enjoy all of his podcasts.

Episodes center on camping, hiking, and remote encounters that blur the line between folklore and lived experience, often featuring listener submissions and a framing host that builds a campfire atmosphere. Noteworthy are long-form narratives, interwoven survivor perspectives, and a steady rhythm of sponsor reads that keep the mood eerie while delivering practical product messaging. The format tends to favor intimate, atmospheric storytelling over heavy editorial analysis, making it a good fit for brands seeking authentic outdoor adventure and thrill-seeking audiences, as well as guests who can contribute vivid, personal encounte... more
