By The Mash Tun is a podcast hosted by a couple of nerds where we brew some beer, drink some beer and have a chat about beer. Each episode we brew a particular style of beer and during the “mashing in” (when the grains steep in warm water to extract their sugars and delicious flavours in something called a “Mash Tun”) we talk about that beer, how we’ve built our own recipe and drink other commerci... more

Great to find a couple of enthusiastic British homebrewers, brewing a range of beers and talking about it in a relaxed way.
Still playing catch up on the episodes, having found it via the recipes on the malt miller.
Keep it up!
Been meaning to do this for a while... finally met Cal on Saturday at The Weather Station so now’s the time. If you have ANY interest in good beer then give this a listen!! Informative without being condescending, authoritative whilst simultaneously self-deprecating, occasionally serious but mostly bags of fun.
Thank you guys for an awesome show. Hope to see you at our bar some time. We’ve listened to most of these now. I’m just starting out on home brewing and picked up a lot of tips. Dave @ahoppyplace.
I’m new to Homebrew and I’ve been searching for a podcast that doesn’t make my teeth itch like some of the American ones.
Mike and Cal have taken me on a fascinating journey as I have driven to and from work and it’s been a welcome diversion from Brexit and the interminable Tory party leadership (is that an oxymoron?) contest.
Having listened to all of the podcasts, I may just have to start over!
A brilliant journey through different beer styles with some awesome beer reviews in every episode.
