I’m trying to get through my first episode hoping Bert will stop talking about himself and let the guest speak about their specific cancer but I’m about an hour in and it hasn’t happened yet. Each episode looks to be about a different person with a different cancer but the entire episode the guest sits there and Bert speaks about his colon cancer which I’m sure at some point there’s already been an entire episode devoted to. The point of most podcasts is to have guests on and hear their perspect... more
Real shame that it needs to be full volume and still difficult to hear at times
Bert is doing society a great benefit by talking in a honest and real manner about cancer, which sadly is affecting more people at a younger age. I find his podcast episodes refreshing, uplifting and enlightening. As someone who is also journeying with stage 4 cancer I totally resonate with his core message. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone who has contact with cancer, which is pretty much everyone, to listen to his profound message!
It’s not only important subject matter, but it’s insightful observations that will inform and *entertain* anyone facing cancer directly - or indirectly. Bert’s direct and thoughtful first-hand experience is tempered with his quick ability to find the humor - especially in the saddest of moments. Highly recommend.
If you haven't listened to this podcast hosted by Robert Scholl, do yourself a favor and give a listen. Bert shows compassion, radical acceptance and deep listening skills. He offers good information for anyone who has experienced a traumatic event - not just those who have been affected by cancer. Might I suggest Season 2, Episode 1 for starters. Then, support this podcast on Patreon.com, which you can find on Bert's website, BertScholl.com.
