  • My favorite podcast!

You guys are amazing at what you do!! I love talking about all aspects of pokemon! I joined the discord about 2 1/2 months ago and I love how involved everyone can be with each other. I’m not the greatest at PvP but you guys are helping me big time and the custom metas are fun no matter what your record is at the end of it. Thanks again for all you guys do and GOOD LUCK AND GET GOOD!

  • The Best PvP Show you’ll find

This is Hans down the best show you were going to find for PVP, TCG, and VGC. The boys have a natural rhythm and are obviously familiar with moves, etc. Show can be hilarious and witty, plus it’s family friendly. I’ve been listening for over three years now and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dead or Alive
Q: Which trainers would you pick for your PvP world's team if you could choose two alive and one dead person?
A mix of living strategists with strong PvP pedigree and a nod to historical curiosity; the group debates feasibility, ethics, and fun, ultimately treating it as a playful hypothetical rather than a serious draft.
Sucked The Seasoning Off It
Q: Would an open invitation for major events like Times Square be better than an invite-only setup?
Most hosts favor an open invitation model to maximize accessibility and hype, though they acknowledge potential logistical hurdles; the consensus is that openness would likely boost community engagement.
Sucked The Seasoning Off It
Q: What are the implications of a 3v3 team format for Worlds, and could it realistically work given player pools and logistics?
The panelists express skepticism aboutTeams-based Worlds, arguing it could split the talent pool, complicate logistics, and disadvantage top solo performers; they suggest PlayLabs or incremental testing as better paths before a full switch.
The Boof
Q: What would you change to prevent no-shows or improve registration for regionals?
A potential solution is a registration fee or a tiered entry that discourages no-shows, possibly paired with a cap on high-usage Pokémon to prevent meta centralization while maintaining accessibility for players.
The Boof
Q: What change would you like to see them implement to the Go Battle League play circuit for Go Fest?
There's interest in either stricter bans on highly used Pokémon or a points-based team building system to encourage diversity and reduce centralization, alongside calls for better pacing and clearer rules to keep competition engaging.
