I like listening to Brian’s voice. Anybody can make a podcast these days, but most people’s voices are not audibly satisfying. There is an art to this and Brian exemplifies it. I also hope they get Billy Morrisette back on the show soon. Or me, and we can talk more about the art of the voice. Anyways, listen to this podcast if you can.
Yeah I said butt. Beloved twin cities radio guy launches podcast following unceremonious dumping by FM radio. Books great local and national guests. The show centers on music-centric conversations with a focus on the Minneapolis–St. Paul scene, indie and DIY culture, and personal storytelling. Episodes blend long-form musician interviews, local venue lore, and community-driven topics, often weaving in sponsor reads and local business shoutouts. Notable is the strong emphasis on Minnesota roots, genre-spanning music guests, and a casual, rowdy, and personable host dynamic that invites both behind-the-scenes insight and practical advice for bands navigating the industry. This mix is likely to appeal to listeners who love in-depth music conversations, local culture, and community-driven arts activism, with a penchant for nostalgia, humor, and candid storytelling.
