She Looks at Family History Upside Down. So She Built Archoral: Interview with CEO Kate Guanci
Q: Kate, thanks for being with us. Would you tell us a little bit about how you got into family history, and then what led you to Archoral?
I am the keeper of my family history and ended up with a massive 6,000 square foot warehouse of family artifacts. That experience made me realize there was a better way to tie everything together, leading to a profile-based system that captures a broad network of people and their stories rather than a traditional tree.
What MyHeritage Launched at RootsTech 2026: Daniel Horowitz Breaks It All Down
Q: How did you get into this, and what is it that you do for MyHeritage?
Daniel explains he started in genealogy at 13 after a Holocaust-related family history assignment, moved through Venezuela to Israel, lectures globally, and now feeds new technology updates to bloggers, podcasters, and societies as head of content for MyHeritage.
Bringing Memories Into Focus with Rick Voight
Q: What is Memory Monday and how does it fit into your educational mission?
Memory Monday is a monthly educational effort featuring experts like PhD researchers to cross-pollinate knowledge about reminiscence therapy and cognitive benefits of photo-based activities.
Bringing Memories Into Focus with Rick Voight
Q: How did you become involved with the aging community and make photo reminiscence therapy a focus?
Rick describes a long history in imaging and a pivot toward reminiscence therapy after recognizing the research gap, then partnering with NIH descriptions and academic researchers to validate the approach.
Challenge Accepted! Elizabeth Takes the WikiTree Challenge (Now with VIDEO)
Q: What will the outcome look like for the participant after the challenge week ends?
Three Zoom meetings are held during the week (kickoff, midweek, wrap-up), with a post-week reveal showing new connections, charts, and notable findings.
