  • Simone please allow your guests talk

Constructive feedback… Simone regardless of your guests, you seem to want to talk 95% of the time. 1. I think it’s best to let your guests express themselves and cut your questions off at 5 minutes (way long winded). 2. Your accent is hard to understand and maybe it would be better to have a more engaging host.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#138 - Supply Chains as Complex Systems and their Organisational Implications - with Federico Marchesi
Q: What does it mean to look at supply chains as complex systems?
Federico explains that supply chains are not just linear chains but networks of actors who exchange information, products, and cash, which creates feedback loops that continually reshape competition and collaboration, making adaptability and governance essential.
#135 - Transforming Bureaucracy into Software Platforms - with Jos De Blok
Q: What does it mean to have an organization that doesn't make a lot of strategy?
It means engaging in dialogues where everyone participates in discussing what works best for the future.
#129 - Why I Don’t Call it “Self-Management” Anymore - with Lisa Gill
Q: How does redistributing this power system look like?
In decentralized organizations, power is redistributing by honoring individual autonomy while fostering a collective responsibility. The core systems must be reimagined to prevent reverting to traditional hierarchical pressures, focusing on cooperation, accountability, and visible relationships.
#129 - Why I Don’t Call it “Self-Management” Anymore - with Lisa Gill
Q: What are the key tenets that make a difference between an organization that is a self-managed person, and an organization that is managing a more traditional manner?
Self-managed organizations aim for no coercion, creating structures that support collective work and purpose without traditional hierarchies. They recognize and leverage individual authority based on experience and capability, promoting mutual accountability rather than unconditional acceptance.
#128 - The Benefits of Programmable Organizations with Spencer Graham and Nicholas Naraghi (Hats Protocol)
Q: What new types of organizations might emerge from the technology you're building?
We may see flatter structures with distributed ownership and more automation enabled by AI.
