Upon her death, Lucy Verdell's estranged grandmother leaves her four black velvet paintings of fairies. But not twinkly sprites — stoic beings with wings of light and grim intent. As Lucy investigates her family's connection to the artwork, she uncovers a web of believers who will do anything to reconnect Earth with the mysterious fairy-world known as Hada.

Such a great story! I need more! Season 2 please!!!
I really enjoyed this top notch show, really fun, suspenseful story. Great writing, and imaginative characters.
The main character is so hard to listen to. Their voice is incredibly annoying and is made all the worse by their terrible acting. Couldn’t get past the 2nd episode.
Love the different voices and audio effects as part of the storytelling. Looking forward to season 2.
The name says it all: think of those velveteen fairy posters; now, think of the people whose spaces you’d find them hanging in — a female, in this case; now, make sure this velvet fairy poster hanging female is so extra you can barely stand to be around her more than 10 mins per serving… you’ve met our host/protag! If that character and personality aren’t enough to draw you in, said witchy woman chases magi-cool hijinks alongside her grounded (but always afraid enough for us all!) hench-Man!!! more
