  • One of my new favorite shows

I got into Black Flare after hearing a promo on Shrimp and Crits and I’m glad I did. The characters have great chemistry and the Handler knows how to ratchet up the tension. The addition of the Executive Producer as some NPCs is a great touch as well. The sound design is amazing, from the theme song to then in-episode and incidental music to the sound effects. I especially love how at the beginning of each episode, each player recounts an interesting (or sometimes not so interesting) fact abo... more

  • Excellent Character Dynamics

The players and Handler (as well as Caleb) are great at what they do. The inter-party dynamics are fun, intriguing, and in plenty of cases, high-stakes. They are building a larger story here, an ongoing campaign with twists and turns. The first story that’s out now is fun, creepy, and also a bit cozy.

Plus, gotta represent Minnesota-based podcasting. Keep up the great works, folks! Can’t wait for season 2!
