Very entertaining, well produced and full of interesting information about albums I didn’t know existed. Very happy there is a huge back catalog to dig into!
This is a good idea for a podcast. The execution is so-so. For example, the one about the Vanilla Ice album was mostly just a biography on Ice and his career and not the album itself. And most of these are albums that have been overly discussed on Internet forums for years.
This podcast comes off as a true labor of love - and a well-written and performed one at that.
Hilarious and well-made. I love how Tony isn't making fun of these albums, he's appreciating them for all their weirdness.
One of my favourite podcasts. Discovered in lock down & have been listening ever since. Interesting & utterly bizarre at times; addictive!
I adore the concept and many of the episodes. Personally, I think there is slightly more 80s and 90s TV/movie culture than I care about even though I was born into that era.
I love this podcast. I am so happy when a new one comes out - Tony rocks . I like the short and sweet format , and I also sometimes wish the episodes were longer because they are so enjoyable. There are fun facts and cool bops to enjoy, my favorite episodes have been the ones about figures from the 50’s and 60’s, I feel like I’ve gained a better understanding of the life my grandparents experienced in their youth. It is strange ! Also I would like to record an album now.
Being a lifelong music geek, this has become one of my favourite podcasts! Well researched, entertaining, and always learning about odd records to check out, what more can a record geek ask for!
I'm obsessed with albums like this, really scratches that itch and I've discovered lots of weird stuff through it.
It’s great. Simply great! Smart, not overly produced, informative, entertaining! Love!
This show is a beautiful gift to every music-loving human. Thanks Tony!
I started listening this summer by way of the Tully show (Great job over there by the way!) I finally got my best friend hooked. He’s listening from oldest to newest. I’m listening from newest to oldest. Will report back with my findings. Oh yeah. Great show !
Consistently one of my favorite podcasts. The material is funny, informative, and useful in helping me find excellent jams. Tony is charming and his research is always well-done. Couldn’t recommend this highly enough if you’re into music & pop culture.
Doesn’t really matter what the topic, every episode is the sort of thing music geeks love, and I most certainly love “Bizarre Albums.” Fascinating and weird, no episode overstays its welcome.
Love love love this podcast. As a big music person and a lover of the unusual, offbeat, odd or unlikely, this scratches a unique itch!
