GRMMA Niall for your Diary report of your experience on Tory Island !

It was so very helpful that you gave us an overview of your daily experiences - with a few sentences as Gaeilge first, followed by the English translation.

I have been studying Irish grammar and vocabulary. My next area of focus is improving my Comhrá as well as my comprehension of Gaeilge when speaking with others.

Your report is ar fheabhas !

  • Not much actual learning of Irish

This show is basically people speaking about their journey learning Irish but there’s really no actual language learning to be gained and few Irish words used. Some promotion of the subscription learning products where I guess the real learning can happen. Some of the guests and chats are ok but the name is a bit deceptive as you will learn no Irish, Bitesize or otherwise.

  • Love love love this podcast!!!

I live in the UK. My mother was from Kerry and I am fortunate to still have an aunt and uncle and many many cousins still there that I go and see at least every one or two years. I have recently decided to start to learn the Irish language on Duolingo. Then I came across a link to this podcast on the internet. It is probably the best podcast that I have ever listened to and I am learning so much about the history and uses of the language. I am now up to episode 14. Looking forward to impressing ... more
