  • What timing

It’s amazing this podcast was started as the Knicks began their unexpected turnaround and breakout season culminating in their first playoff appearance in a decade and their first shot at winning a round (or even a game) in even longer. It’s almost like Sal, Producer Jake, and the inimitable JYD are the reason for the season. A fun listen every week. Insightful reflections and great guests. Serve with steak, but not Sizzler.

What a great tribute to Patrick Ewing from Sal Licata! With the emotional ties many of us have for them 90’s Knick teams, just “Thank You Patrick Ewing” was the perfect way to thank the Man who gave his all! Loving this Knicks podcast— woof!

Do Knicks Take Control Vs Hawks…Or Fall Apart Again? | NY Got Game
Q: Is Mike Brown's adaptability a positive or a concern in this series?
Overall, adaptation is a positive; he deserves credit for benching Bridges in the second half and for adjusting lineups, though some argue a couple of moves could have been made sooner.
Do Knicks Take Control Vs Hawks…Or Fall Apart Again? | NY Got Game
Q: What's the biggest factor that will decide game five at the Garden?
Carl Anthony Towns getting the ball in the paint and staying aggressive, plus guarding Brunson effectively and limiting Hawks' transition points.
Do Knicks Take Control Vs Hawks…Or Fall Apart Again? | NY Got Game
Q: What is the one thing from game four you're watching closest to see if it holds up in game five?
Cat's first-half intensity and active involvement, followed by Brunson's reads and Hart pushing transition; Towns waking up with aggressiveness in the second half suggested a possible momentum carry.
Knicks Game 1 Win Shows Higher Ceiling…Do Hawks Have An Answer? | NY Got Game
Q: What adjustments do you expect the Hawks to make in game two to counter the Knicks' approach and Brunson's usage?
The Hawks are likely to try more Cat-focused offense, get Dyson Daniels moving to pull Cat away from the basket, run more pick-and-rolls, and push to attack Brunson with multiple actions to force a decision-making burden on him and his teammates.
Knicks Game 1 Win Shows Higher Ceiling…Do Hawks Have An Answer? | NY Got Game
Q: Did you see anything in game one that said to you, hey, this offense has really evolved from last season now, that it could win a game where Jalen Brunson didn't have a complete takeover?
Yes, even though Brunson wasn't fully dominant, the Knicks still managed a double-digit win with contributions from Towns and other role players, showing the offense can operate with balance and not rely solely on isolation plays.
