Welcome to Beyond the Lights: A Conversation with Theater Professionals. Theater is a community event and it takes a village to operate. From actors to designers to company managers to teaching artists to data nerds and dramaturgs and everything in between. So join me weekly to learn more about each person's journey and the "hustle" we call theater as we go Beyond the Lights.

I’m a fan of Broadway/theater, and I’m always interested in what goes on behind the scenes—enter Beyond the Lights. This podcast sheds light (ha ha!) on some lesser known—or in my case, totally unknown—aspects of theater. I learn something from each episode and grow more and more excited for regular, live performances to return when the time is safe.
Every episode not only teaches you about a different aspect/job/role in theater, but also celebrates the heart of each personal, artistic journey.
I miss all aspects of theatre. And this is a great fix for that. You don’t really get to hear about music directors or stage managers and all that they do to make a show run smoothly. So great that these people and these jobs are given a chance to be heard and shine! Can’t wait to hear more and continue to get my theatre fix!
I’m so thankful for this podcast! It’s so hard knowing the industry I trained and worked in for most of my life is suffering so hard through this pandemic. This podcast is a little ray of sunshine where we get to hear from so many magnificent folks who do amazing things! We may not be able to make theatre right now but it’s so great to hear about all these folks’ artistry and ways they make the world a little more magical!
If you love theater like I do, then this podcast is certainly for you! We all miss theater and going to a show. But this podcast has helped me learn all of the different roles and people who even make a show possible. At a time like this when theater is shutdown it’s podcasts like these that will help keep us going and remind us of what used to be normal.
