This podcast is great. I’ve been listening for a few months and enjoying it more with each episode. Today I finished listening to them do an abbreviated, live, very unserious play of a modified version of The Chair and I learned so much in spite of (perhaps because of?) how fast and loose they were playing. It was hilarious yet educational. Brad kept the pace moving by asking for quick simple inputs. What a blast. Thanks guys!
This is seriously an awesome podcast. I love the crack between these guys! And you always know what you’re getting: a professional level review of the production and game-table value of a product, so you can avoid the ones that are not your thing. I listen to this all the time now and ALWAYS before I buy anything!
This is my favorite folklore, etymology, “When I was a child…” podcast that also reviews old-school rpg modules.
Came for the reviews. Stayed for the banter.
This is my favorite parasocial relationship.
Great thoughts on adventures and the hosts seem to be having fun. Couldn't ask for more

The show provides in-depth reviews of tabletop RPG modules with a strong emphasis on design, layout, art direction, and playability. Across episodes, the three hosts dissect structure, pacing, and mechanics while weighing how well a product supports actual play, sandbox potential, and system compatibility. Guests from the indie RPG scene occasionally join to offer art, design, or Kickstarter perspectives, enriching the discussion with industry context. The tone blends rigorous critique with humor and banter, making it both informative for publishers and engaging for designers and players alike. Noteworthy is the focus on production details, from map layout and typography to licensing and community-driven publishing, which can be especially ... more
