This is a very good LotR podcast. The host is well informed and covers the entire Tolkein legendarium. I can't give it 5 stars, though. And, the only reason is that he presents it as if he is reading a book report in front of a middle school class.

I stumbled upon this podcast in prep for The Rings of Power series & what a gem!! I enjoy all of the LOTR content, and as a big Hobbit & LOTR Fan of both the books & movies, I appreciate Aaron’s knowledge & ability to produce content in easy to digest shorter segments so that even those who are new to ME can follow along. Worth a listen!

I just came across this amazing podcast and am listening from the beginning. I’ve been a Tolkien fan since I read the Hobbit when I was 13, by my 20s I had read LOTR incl the Appendices 20 times. But I found The Silmarillion harder going - so I’m finding this podcast very enlightening. Aaron deftly and succinctly guides us through the ‘Lore’ and origin stories of Tolkien’s creation, which can get quite confusing. Even his interjections of his own opinion are not distracting and often humorous.... more

I’ve been a LOTR/Hobbit fan since middle school, but this podcast has reawakened my love for Tolkien like no other. I even got inspired enough to finally read the Silmarillion, and man was it worth it. Such fantastic storytelling, and this podcast shows a greater appreciation for that than any I’ve seen. The depth of knowledge and lore is simply fantastic. I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys anything from Tolkien!
