I just discovered this podcast, and I am already a big fan! Dave's brings an "everyman's" approach to his discussion of beer, but you can tell he has a deep knowledge of the subject. His smooth, comfortable delivery is both contemplative and meditative. I also enjoy the news and notes that he includes, as well as his specific knowledge of the Chicago/midwest beer scene. Kudos, Dave! Keep putting thos beers in front of you!

2026 Homebrew Con Recap
Q: Before you started the Brew Depot, what was your background like?
Joshua Lord describes an arc from graduate work at Georgia Tech to homebrewing, then transitioning into owning The Brew Depot, with a focus on leveraging his brewing background to help customers and growers.
310 Chicago Beer History With Andrew Mason
Q: What do you think is missing right now from the Chicago beer scene, if anything?
There's burnout and a sense of disconnection from beer's evolving trends, but Europe helped me fall back in love with beer, reminding me that the core appeal is craft, community, and well-made beer rather than trends.
310 Chicago Beer History With Andrew Mason
Q: As a brewer yourself, how does that change the kind of questions you're asking when you're interviewing people?
It helps me ask about the sausage makers behind the scenes—the realities of running a brewery, keeping doors open, and what it meant to build teams and brands in a competitive Chicago market, not just the surface dates and beers.
310 Chicago Beer History With Andrew Mason
Q: Well, before we get talking about the Chicago Brewing History, can you tell people about yourself?
I've lived in the Chicagoland area since childhood, studied film, and through a path that included brewing at Flossmoor Station, Mickey Finn's, Three Floyds, and Solemn Oath, I became driven to document Chicago's beer history in long-form interviews.
308 Summer Happenings At Revolution Brewing
Q: Are there more Fundraiser Friday events planned after June 26?
Yes, Revolution Brewing plans several monthly events through the year, including partnerships with Elvalor in July and Diggs with Dignity in August, with ongoing 50% draft beer donations and related community activities.
