  • Weekly highlight.

Definitely my favourite rugby podcast. I did wonder how things would go when they lost a team member but BBTG has gone from strength to strength and the lads have built a great platform with their own format. The lads give an honest, informed review of each game and with input from fans via social media comments, chats with opposing team podcasters and updates from the Bears Women’s progress this is definitely as the lads say “The place for everything Bristol Bears”

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 205 - Bears win ugly in the ding-dong derby
Q: What did you make of the refereeing decisions at the end of the first half and the disallowed try?
We debated whether the forward pass and obstruction were correctly adjudicated, acknowledging that the TMO and linesmen had to make rapid calls in a fast-moving game, and ultimately accepted the official decisions as part of the flow of a high-pressure derby.
Ep 222 - Toulouse preview with Rosbifs Rugby pod - crumbs of comfort and food, drink and entertainment recommendations!
Q: What about Bristol's injuries, does that affect the setup?
Rob acknowledges injuries to Pedro Rubiolo and Joe Batley as major concerns but highlights depth in Bristol's second row and backline stock, suggesting a plan built around the players available.
Ep 222 - Toulouse preview with Rosbifs Rugby pod - crumbs of comfort and food, drink and entertainment recommendations!
Q: Do you think Toulouse will over-prepare or misread Bristol at home since they're in a stadium move and a big crowd is unlikely to need deep analysis?
Rob argues Toulouse typically study opponents, fine-tune rotations, and won't neglect Bristol; they may still view it as a tough fixture but will aim to control the choke points and use their experience in knockout rugby.
Ep 222 - Toulouse preview with Rosbifs Rugby pod - crumbs of comfort and food, drink and entertainment recommendations!
Q: Can you give us a little overview of what Saturday might be like and some glimmers of hope for a result?
Rob outlines Toulouse's home strength but notes recent signs of fallibility, suggesting Bristol should look for opportunities in the midfields and ensure they press the breakdown and ruck areas to exploit any gaps.
Ep 167 - Raw, raucous and rip-roaring and the action at the Gate wasn't too bad either. The live pod has dropped.
Q: Did anyone feel sorry for the Newcastle Falcons today?
The audience did not feel sorry for the Falcons based on the match performance and results.
