まずひとつめは、函館から北に30キロのところにある大沼国定公園です。火山の駒ヶ岳とそれを映す大沼湖、小沼湖、尊菜沼からなる景勝地で、遊歩道もあり紅葉を楽しむのに最適です。２か所目は見晴公園内にある函館香雪園。函館市内や湯の川温泉からも近く、アクセスに便利な国指定名勝で、約100ｍ続くカエデ並木は圧巻です。
